
To fix that, you'd need a mic that has a switch like a push-to-talk mic. You'll still mute your mic as usual in Zoom, but that just tells Zoom to not send the audio to the meeting: the mic is still hot so whatever you say while on mute would still get recorded. The output of LadioCast is what Audacity will take in and you will record. LadioCast will take Soundflower as one input (so it gets the sound of the meeting minus you) and the microphone as the other input (which will be you plus any sound from the meeting giving it a bit of reverb).

Now you'll hear the meeting like usual, but the audio is also being sent to Soundflower. In Zoom, set the audio preference to play to this multi-output device. There, create a multi-output device that plays to Soundflower (so the chain you create gets the output) and plays to Internal Speakers (so you can hear it). So the audio out of Zoom is just the other participants. That would give you an echo and likely crazy feedback. With Zoom (or any video chat), your microphone audio is sent to the chat, but not played back.
